What's Your Fave Lip Product?

So I took to twitterville to inquire & ask my favorite beauty junkies what their #1 lip care product was. I found out that a lot of my beauty sisters were using the same lip products which I didn't find odd at all, so I wanted to share their go to lip products with all of you. My all time fave is Kiehl's Lip Balm which protects against the elements and relieves chapped or cracked lips. Not to mention it has SPF 4 and cotton seed oil to protect and condition the lips. On any given day I'm anxiously surfing around my handbag for my lip conditioner, so it helps to have them stocked everywhere from your bedside table, coat pocket to of course your handbag. On a hunt for some of my twitter suggestions, I found a great deal...a two pack of Soft lips with a SPF 15, and the two yummy scents are tickled pink and vanilla for $1.20...what a great deal. Here's some options from twitter:

Kiehl's Lip Balm
Soft Lips
Burt's Bees
La Mer Lip Balm
Rosebud Strawberry Lip Balm
Chapstick
Neosporin Overnight Lip Treatment
Sally Hansen 18hr Lip Treatment
Aquaphor
Eos Sweet Mint Lip Sphere
Neutrogena Moisture Shine Lip Soother

Ask Tia Tuesday

Today’s question is from Paula M. Paula asks:

I'm a working mom with limited time in the morning. What do you suggest as a makeup routine that will leave me looking great, but that I can get done in my very sparse morning minutes?

I can definitely attest to wanting to look cute & polished with limited time restraints. Start off by prepping your canvas with moisturizer to hydrate the skin and help foundation glide on with ease. If you have troubled spots on your face, I would dab a concealer closer to your skin tone for a flawless look. Next, apply your powder foundation with a large fluffy brush to give you an airbrushed look. This next product I believe every Woman should own and wear is mascara as its a simple process with dramatic results. Building on two coats of mascara really opens your eyes and gives great definition. Lightly dust some bronzer on your cheeks to bring life to your face and it also adds a pop of color. Lastly, add some tinted lip conditioner or lipgloss to your lips to finish off your look.

Thanks for your question, Paula! If you have a question you’d like me to answer please send it to asktiatuesday@gmail.com and it could be selected for my blog!

All about the Bag!

'Tis the season where it's all about the glitz & glam! So I wanted to talk about how we can showcase our makeup must-haves in cute little trendy, sparkly bags. The most important part of carrying a cute makeup bag is keeping your makeup in tact & clean. So here's some ways you can keep your makeup bags cute, clean and clutter free. Put cotton balls inside your single eyeshadows and please cut balls to fit, this will keep eyeshadow secure & break free. Also, figure out exactly what you will need in your bag so avoid clutter. Make sure all of your tops are securely tightened to avoid a mess that you will definitely regret. I would not suggest carrying around loose pigments in your makeup bags to avoid spillage. For your sponges, I would suggest finding a small old velvet bracelet bag to keep new sponges in to avoid the spread of bacteria within the bag. Also, please keep your brushes in a small brush bag to keep everything clean & looking its best. Some of my favorite makeup bags can be found at your local drug stores, target, sephora stores, tory burch and online. Here's a snapshot of my current makeup bag...loving my LV bag. Have fun with your makeup bags and what a great gift-giving idea...hint hint!
