Makeup Must-Have: NARS Albatross

I love creating beautiful faces. No matter what look I create, I am sure to accent my clients cheeks with NARS Albatross highlighting blush powder. It leaves your cheeks simmering, sculpted and it is perfect for any skin complexion. NARS Albatross is a staple in my makeup kit.

If purchasing Albatross isn't in your budget, I've got a GREAT inexpensive dupe for you! ELF Cosmetics "Gotta Glow" gives results that are very similar to NARS Albatross and it only costs $3!

Here are Albatross and Gotta Glow side-by-side.

You can find NARS Albatross at your local Sephora or on NARS' website. ELF's Gotta Glow can be
found at your local Target or on ELF's website

Jennifer Hudson on DWTS Australia

I have the pleasure of accompanying Jennifer Hudson to Australia. During our time here she appeared on DWTS. She wore a simple black dress, so I gave her a smokey eye to compliment her look for the night. Here's some footage of her performance. Enjoy!

I Remember Me

Here's an oldie, but a goodie... And I Am Telling You

Ask Tia Tuesday

This week's Ask Tia Tuesday question is from Lydia M. Lydia asks:

Hi Tia. I've got peeling dry skin and makeup doesn't look good on me. I've tried every moisturizer under the sun but my skin is still dry. While I'm on my quest to get this issue resolved, do you know of anything I can use to make my makeup look good?

Hi Lydia! Thanks for your question. Our skin is the canvas on which we create masterpieces. Proper skincare ensures the masterpieces we create are flawless. I am not an esthetician so I can't give you a medical reason as to why you are experiencing dry, flaky skin, but I will suggest that you adopt a skincare regimen that includes regular exfoliation to help remove dead skin cells from your face. I recommend St. Ives Apricot Scrub which I use on a regular basis to clear away dull, dry skin. I also recommend looking into microdermabrasion. Microdermabrasion will help to improve both the texture and tone of your skin. It gently removes the dead layer of skin from your face and leaves you with smooth, radiant skin. I'm a fan of microdermabrasion and get it once every year to revive my skin. Also, drinking lots of water can help quench dry skin from the inside out. Well hydrated skin is the best palette for any makeup application.
